Netball
Kia ora koutou! Ko Georgia Takarangi ahau, I am currently contracted for the AVIS Magic for my 5th year in 2024, after also being lucky enough to debut for the Silver Ferns in 2021. I am a defender, playing all of GK, GD and WD.
Outside of netball, I work as the Sport and Clubs Coordinator and WellFit Coordinator at the University of Waikato and I've completed a BA/BSC in Sport Science and Psych at the University of Auckland and a Masters in Sport Psych at University of Waikato. I'm currently studying the prerequisites to entering in the UoW Clinical Psychology program.
I'm passionate about mental health, holistic wellbeing and Te Ao Māori, with my husband working as a youth worker we hope to one day open a Holistic Health Clinic to help our people.
Keen to help out in any way I can! But obviously very busy so bear with me :) Especially interested in mentoring, coaching, talks to do with recovery, loading or ways I optimise my performance by using my knowledge from my degrees!
