My name is Aliyah Johnson and I am a professional track and field athlete currently living in Auckland NZ. I have been competing in track and field for around 20 years, specializing in heptathlon, hurdles and triple jump at various stages of my career. I competed in Division 1 NCAA Athletics from 2015-2018 for the University of Georgia, capturing all American honor's and a 2018 NCAA Team Title. I am currently competing for North Harbour Bays (NZ) and Tigers Athletics Club (Australia)
I am very excited to join the team at Sports Society, as a way to give back to the younger generation and mentor other athletes at different stages of their career whether it be on the track or in juggling high performance sports and everyday life. Grassroots sport and mentoring played a huge part in my development as an athlete, and I would love the opportunity to pass along my knowledge and experience to those up and coming.
